The story behind Volleybook

There are already quite a lot of Volleyball sites out there, so why Volleybook ?

While there are general information sites, team sites or national federation sites about Volleyball, there was no global website for the Volleyball community. So I created one.

Inspired by all the general social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace... Volleybook is aimed at the specific Volleyball community all around the world.

I stopped playing in 2007 after some 15 years at a professional level. Volleybook is a way to keep in touch with my ex team mates and friends and the Volleyball world in general, as well as a way to improve the interactions between all members of this community.

I am regularily contacted by friends (or friends of friends) looking for a new team, or a new player, or a new coach for their team and it seemed obvious to me that we could leverage the power of Internet and the social networks to achieve just that. Make it easy for people to find new opportunities, wether it'd be for professional reasons or just for fun.

Volleybook is still in Beta, and along with building the community we will add more cool features to the site in the coming months. Be sure to check the forums and suggest features you would like to see added.
